Sallee's Rustie Jr x Natchez Trace Josie

  • Location: Collinwood, Tennessee, United States

I'm happy to be expecting an October litter from Josie and Rusty.

Both parents are large dogs, with Josie weighing 54 lbs and Rusty weighing about 70 lbs. Both parents have lean, athletic builds with virtually no body fat. And each parent receives four to six hours per day of pasture-based exercise and sunshine.

Both Josie and Rusty are friendly to other animals and are very people-oriented.

Josie has been exposed to livestock and shows keen interest. Her maternal grand sire Betts Wilsons Yukon Gold is an AHBA Herding Champion. And her maternal grand dam Johnson's Gracie-Ann Squier is AHBA titled.

Rusty descends directly from Janice Sallee's well-known IESR Black and Tan dairy dogs.

Both Josie and Rusty have been Embark tested and cleared of all breed-specific diseases. Josie has had her hips tested OFA Good (ESP-543G25F-VPI).

Josie is dual-registered UKC (P891-586) and ESCR (ESC-5465).

Rusty is triple-registered IESR (E217,709-062Y) , UKC (pending) and ESCR (ESC-6497).

Both parents are exclusively fed Purina Pro Plan. Puppies will also be fed PPP once they start kibble. Puppies will be raised from birth using the Puppy Culture puppy enrichment program.

The genetic COI of this litter is calculated by Embark to be 5%.

I expect the pups to whelp on 10/05/2020 and wean on 11/24/2020.

The English Shepherd, a breed of herding dog native to the United States, is so named because it descended directly from Collie-type dogs brought from the United Kingdom. The English Shepherd is considered one of the most versatile of all herding dogs and is not only capable of working with any species of livestock, but also of hunting, tracking, search-and-rescue, agility, competitive obedience, companionship, and personal protection/guard dog duty.
