Douchard’s Surrey Lane Shooter

Sire: Bett’s Middle Tree Farms Sweetbriar
Dam: Cedar Creek Brinster’s Rosemary
Clear: MDR1, DM, HUU, PRA/PRCD, and CEA
Pennhip: .25/.18
DOB: January 9, 2015

Shooter is very mannerly and a perfect gentleman. He’s cautious around strangers, but warms up quickly once acquainted. He knows the boundaries of the farm and stays within its limits. His nights are spent patrolling the pasture and warding off unwanted intruders. He helps drive cattle, kill rats, moles, chipmunks, and raccoons. He also loves playing with children, and gets along well with other dogs and cats on the farm. A few of his favorite activities are playing in the creek and being loved on.

Backroad’s Blue Sky Dannsair

Sire: Backroad’s BJ Mowgli
Dam: Green Mountain’s Backroad Mockingjay
Clear: MDR1, DM, HUU, PRA/PRCD, and CEA
Pennhip: .61/.68
DOB: May 6, 2018

Dannsair has amazed me by how fast she problem solves! Her confidence is refreshing no matter where we go or the circumstances. I often describe her as “obeys without question.” She learns the quickest of my four dogs, and at times can learn something new in one session. Dannsair excels in advanced obedience, nosework, and loves to play fetch! She’s earned her expert trick dog title through DMWYD. I’ve dabbled in agility with her and have had a herding instinct test done. I took her to Starmark with me and had her in the program before she was six months old. Dannsair was my agility and narcotics dog along with knowing several service tasks and tricks for the program.

The English Shepherd, a breed of herding dog native to the United States, is so named because it descended directly from Collie-type dogs brought from the United Kingdom. The English Shepherd is considered one of the most versatile of all herding dogs and is not only capable of working with any species of livestock, but also of hunting, tracking, search-and-rescue, agility, competitive obedience, companionship, and personal protection/guard dog duty.
